Oh, Marilyn! If Only You Knew
Marilyn Munroe started off in an airplane factory, moved onto modelling and quickly became famous as a leading American actress, model and singer of her times. It was she who popularized the ‘dumb blonde’ persona that we use so frequently today. Her most famous works include: Bus Stop (1956), The Prince and The Showgirl (1957) and Some like It Hot (1959). Unfortunately, she spent her last few days steeped in illness and personal problems and, eventually died of drug overdose.
Almost everybody knows Marilyn Munroe today. But few people know that her real name was Norma Jeane Mortenson. And yet fewer still know about her strange Last Will. In it, she gave all her belongings and clothing to her acting coach, Lee Stasberg. According to the Last Will, he was supposed to distribute these belongings amongst her family and friends, but he never did so. Instead, he kept it in his warehouse where it stayed till he died. Thereafter, his widow sold it all for 13.4 million dollars! Quite heartbreaking for Marilyn’s families and friends.
